My experience buying my Hyundai Santa Fe was the best from any dealership I have ever been to visit. I did not have to settle for things not wanted. Sam was excellent and very patient with me and my mini daschund. And Jerrod came to let me know everything would be ok but takes time. Service manager that say was also not trying to push me into getting a vehicle I would be unhappy with having. The financial guy was equally as helpful and put me at ease Even the lady who took my money was terrific in taking care of me. Everyone made feel like I was home as did the car.just give everyone a 20 for that day.

Patricia is a wonderserful service advisor. She has always been honest on the maintainence my car actually needs. For example, she showed me the paperwork that actually had the measurements for my brake wear and suggested that I get my rear brakes serviced. Because of this recommendation, I ended up getting that service completed and my car couldn't drive any better. If I were to choose a service advisor to be assigned to, I would definitely recommend Patricia.

Quick and easy!

Went in to test drive Kona. Had already negotiated with another dealership on price but hadn't actually driven the vehicle yet. Met up with Mike and Sheldon and drove the Kona. Loved it! Mike and Sheldon were so on top of it, I thought a little negotiating couldn't hurt. I ended up with a deal that beat the other one so I bought it. Financing was a breeze and I was in and out in less than 2 hours with some of that time being me trying to decide between the Kona and a Honda I was interested in. Everyone is friendly and helpful at South Point. It was the smoothest, quickest, and easiest vehicle purchase I have ever made! Mike did the negotiations and was excellent at explaining pricing, payments, and what what exactly the numbers were. I never felt pressured. While Mike worked on the numbers, Sheldon explained the car and I had lots of questions. They were both quite knowledgeable of their product. Financing was very quick and I don't have perfect credit but still got got a quite doable deal. The service doesn't stop once you sign the dotted line. I have since had a lot of questions and Mike has always been available to answer any questions and is always a joy to talk to. Sheldon took the time to explain all the manuals in easy to understand terms. I met Sonny just standing outside. He was open, friendly, and very helpful while we discussed some extras I wanted to get installed. I have purchased a lot of vehicles in my life and this was by far the easiest, smoothest and most enjoyable! .

Lease quote was too high

I was interested in getting a lease for a G70. I spent the prior month studying how to calculate lease payments and even built my own spreadsheet to help do the math quickly (i.e. in a dealership). I verified my spreadsheet by using actual lease deals in Texas found on the internet. I did all this research because I know dealers will take advantage of the complicated lease payment math to benefit themselves. Sure enough...the lease payment they offered to me was extremely high for the price of the car they were quoting me. Fortunately, I didn't fall for their trap and I walked away from the deal. BTW...This happened at each of the three dealers I tried to get a lease payment quote from so make sure you do your homework before negotiating any lease with any dealer.

I’m making allowances for COVID when I say that the initial intake process for service was not good. I had to be proactive to be acknowledged. The outside people were not wearing their masks properly and social distancing was not followed. I did not see any signage or directions for customers to use safe practices for masking. This is a critical time (holiday season 2020) for the spread of COVID and I believe that the Southpoint Hyundai Service department could do better. Employee and Public safety protection is paramount. Otherwise my car was serviced as requested. I do prefer Hyundai products and services overall because my past experiences have been excellent.

I had gone to downtown Austin to buy a Ford Edge at the Ford dealership next-door. They lied on their website and they were shady, so I left. As I was driving away I saw the Honda dealership and decided to stop in. I was greeted by Sheldon and treated so well. I told him what I wanted. He was honest and told me he didn’t know if he could do it but that he was going to try his hardest. Well guess what? I got the car I wanted. He went to bat for me and I am so grateful. If you need a car, go see Sheldon.

I bought two cars here. One car has something wrong with the paint, there are discolored spots and the paint is so thin/soft that you can scratch it off with a fingernail... The service team said this was "road debris", that I should wax my car and that there's nothing wrong with it. I will not return to this dealership for service or sales after this experience. Sheldon is the only person at this dealership that I am willing to do business with again, it is quite unfortunate that he works here.

My experience buying my Hyundai Santa Fe was the best from any dealership I have ever been to visit. I did not have to settle for things not wanted. Sam was excellent and very patient with me and my mini daschund. And Jerrod came to let me know everything would be ok but takes time. Service manager that say was also not trying to push me into getting a vehicle I would be unhappy with having. The financial guy was equally as helpful and put me at ease Even the lady who took my money was terrific in taking care of me. Like I mentioned in my last "additional comments", Gopal was very professional and friendly. He has no rush in closing the deal, talking about the car, or taking time during the test drive. I really appreciate that... it helped us feel comfortable and not rushed. He was friendly and personable, honest and helpful. Would definitely recommend him as a sales staff. Same goes for Matthew, who helped us during the post-purchase experience.

As soon as we got home from finalizing the deal we put the car in the garage and since it was late and dark we turned on the garage light and noticed all types of scratches. Called Robert right back within 30 min of finalizing. He asked that we take it in the next day and they had to take it to the paint and body shop to buff out the scratches so he asked us to keep the car for the weekend and to drop it of Jan 3 and it's been in the shop since then. I drove it 3 days. 3 days!!! N they called me today 01/25 that the car was ready and back from being painted. Painted! My new car already has a pain job n it wasnt even anything we did. So anyhow I get there this evening and it was a horrible paint job. Door clearly didnt match and the opposite side had maybe like paint residue and had a dull appearance. It looks so bad. I'm so upset and I cried all the way home. They think it's ok because I have a loaner. No its NOT OK!! This is my new car and my 1st car payment is due in a week and I drove my car 3 x!!! So sad that they are quick to accommodate you and your wants and need before u make the deal and then after u are not important anymore. *********** **************Dec 28,2020 Well just wanna say that my whole experience @ Hyundai/ Genesis, from start to finish, was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! Not ever knowing anything about Genesis vehicles Robert and Carter made sure I knew the in's n out's of my new purchase. Sat in the car with me and set up my phone and other little electronic devices thoroughly showing me all the features. Robert knew which car I was gonna choose even before I even thought I liked a moonlight blue color🤷‍♀️. Lol.. And the deal I got at the end of year sale was a cherry on top of the already amazing warranty of Genesis. Im.sonready to take a road trip in my luxurious capsule!! I've test driven other high end imports with more $000,0's at the end and I can honestly say Genesis by far satisfied all my want and needs and I know I will be safe most importantly. Buying wasn't bad, bu that was it

I bought a used 2017 Genesis G90 in mid-January. The buying process was pretty good. However, the window washer system started not working about 2 weeks after I bought it. It would not dispense window washer fluid. I did not try to fix it myself. I tried to get a hold of the guy who sold the car to me, Carter, three times to see if I could get the issue looked at but never heard back. The third time I tried to get in contact with him was when I picked up my plates. I brought up the issue and he said he would help schedule an appointment for service. While Carter was wonderful to work with in terms of buying the car, there was no follow up or follow through in regards to my concern. After not hearing from Carter, I looked online to find a number for the service department. The first time I called was during business hours but no one answered or followed up when I left the voicemail requesting a call back. I finally was able to get the service scheduled the second time I called after months of dealing with this issue. I scheduled the service with them thinking it should be a easy fix. Nope. Even though I scheduled a service (on a Friday) they couldn't even look at the car until 3 days later (Monday). As the Genesis is supposed to bve their luxury brand, I was hoping to receive luxury brand level customer service such as receiving a loaner car of the same par as the Genesis. The only loaner car they could give me was a Hynudai. When you go to a luxury brand dealership they give you a luxury brand loaner. Today when I spoke with Patricia about the status of my car, they said that the washer fluid was clogged and that it was my fault and not covered by the warranty even though they're are the ones who put the fluid in there to begin with and sold it to me in that condition. I completely understand why something like this would not normally be covered under warranty however, when I brought up the fact that I had done nothing to the window washer fluid since buying it, Patricia's tone quickly changed to one of annoyance and she cut me off saying she would get with her warranty advisor and get back to me. It is extremely frustrating to have to chase down a business to get the car you just bought to be looked at and then dismissed that the issues are your fault. I hope their are records of how many times I have tried to reach out and small issue addressed. While the car itself is wonderful, their customer service isn't on par with what you'd expect from a luxury brand nor is it what you should receive if you were buying a non-luxury vehicle. They also reinforce the stereotype that dealerships are terrible to work with for getting your car serviced. If you are looking for luxury, look somewhere else.

I purchased a new Hyundai Venue in September of 2020, and at the time was told they couldn’t find my spare key, so they would be getting me a brand new one. There were then 2 weeks of being told I’d get the key in the next couple days, only to be told another couple of days when that day arrived. I finally got fed up and asked to speak with a manager, and that’s when Steve came into the picture. He then continued to explain that the key had just been ordered that morning. Here I am 2 & 1/2months later, and I still don’t have a spare key. And guess what? Steve told me that it just got ordered last night and now won’t be here until next week. Will never do business with this dealership again.

This was the most horrendous customer experience I have had in a long time. I generally let these things go by the wayside especially to give grace in light of the COVID-19 situation, but I was treated so poorly, I will never bring my car back to this dealership/service center nor purchase another car from this dealership which is a shame because we were loyal Hyundai customers and purchased/leased three cars from Sonny (who I adore). I had Ryan as my service manager when I dropped my car off, but mysteriously, 10 days later, Ryan no longer worked at the service department. Regardless, I received a call telling me my car was ready the day after I dropped it off, which I knew was a lie. Long story short, I shouldn't have received that call, and then I proceeded to receive a call apologizing for the misinformation. 10 days later, I hadn't received an actual update about the status of my car and I had to persistently call and text just to get an update. After talking with John, and Steve, and bothering the poor receptionist to death, I was able to talk through some recommendations for my car. I was then told (after my car had been in the shop for 15 days at this point) the car would be ready the next morning. Great- I went in the next morning to pick it up, and guess what, it was not ready. I shouldn't have been surprised with the terrible service I had received for the past 15 days. After waiting for an additional 45 minutes, having a minor melt-down in the waiting room, I finally got my car and I think these people were just so glad to have me out of their hair. Honestly, I had an AMAZING experience with Patricia has my consultant last year and she is the ONLY good thing about that department. This past experience was dreadful and I do not recommend working with these incredibly unprofessional people.

As soon as we got home from finalizing the deal we put the car in the garage and since it was late and dark we turned on the garage light and noticed all types of scratches. Called Robert right back within 30 min of finalizing. He asked that we take it in the next day and they had to take it to the paint and body shop to buff out the scratches so he asked us to keep the car for the weekend and to drop it of Jan 3 and it's been in the shop since then. I drove it 3 days. 3 days!!! N they called me today 01/25 that the car was ready and back from being painted. Painted! My new car already has a pain job n it wasnt even anything we did. So anyhow I get there this evening and it was a horrible paint job. Door clearly didnt match and the opposite side had maybe like paint residue and had a dull appearance. It looks so bad. I'm so upset and I cried all the way home. They think it's ok because I have a loaner. No its NOT OK!! This is my new car and my 1st car payment is due in a week and I drove my car 3 x!!! So sad that they are quick to accommodate you and your wants and need before u make the deal and then after u are not important anymore. *********** **************Dec 28,2020 Well just wanna say that my whole experience @ Hyundai/ Genesis, from start to finish, was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! Not ever knowing anything about Genesis vehicles Robert and Carter made sure I knew the in's n out's of my new purchase. Sat in the car with me and set up my phone and other little electronic devices thoroughly showing me all the features. Robert knew which car I was gonna choose even before I even thought I liked a moonlight blue color🤷‍♀️. Lol.. And the deal I got at the end of year sale was a cherry on top of the already amazing warranty of Genesis. Im.sonready to take a road trip in my luxurious capsule!! I've test driven other high end imports with more $000,0's at the end and I can honestly say Genesis by far satisfied all my want and needs and I know I will be safe most importantly. Thank u again Robert Pardon n Carter!! Forever grateful 🤘🏼

I had a similar bad experience recently. I scheduled my vehicle for mandatory safety recall and when I received my vehicle back, the gas fuel range had dropped 100 miles from when I had checked in. How could my vehicle lose 100 miles when it had not left the repair shop? I called Gerald Watson, Fixed Operations Director, and informed him of this issue. He tried to minimize and/or ignore the issue. He claimed his employees would never syphon gas and suggested gauges settle and readjust and that's why my fuel range dropped. Losing that much fuel would have allowed me to drive from North Austin to at least the south side of San Antonio. Again, how could something like this happen?

My experience was not so pleasant. I had a scheduled appointment for a recall service but I had to wait for about 20 minutes for someone to assist me. When I came back to pick up my vehicle they were much more helpful and friendlier but my car was unlocked and had been ransacked. I spoke with the manager but he blamed it on homeless people. I didn't make a big scene about it because I noticed a big sign that says we are not responsible for your personal items but at the same time if I'm trusting you with my property you and your employees should be held responsible. Needless to say I won't be using South Hyundai anymore because they hire thieves and cover and make excuses for them.

I planned to test drive cars at several dealerships today but only got to two. The second was South Point Hyundai and thanks to Anthony, I got exactly what I was looking for. Anthony respected my comfort level, taste, time and didn't insult my intelligence with obnoxious sales tactics. I enjoy buying a car only second to getting a root canal, but Anthony made the experience almost painless. Will be back for service and my next car.
