BUYER BEWARE!
BUYER BEWARE!!! Was told by manager, they would match a Carmax offer for my trade in. What they neglected to tell me was that we’re using my sales tax savings to match it. In other words, instead of showing $27,000 (Carmax offer) as a trade-in, they showed $25,100 as my trade and said the remaining part was made up with my sales tax savings. But wait, sales tax on $25,100 is $1,568.75 bringing their total to $26,668.75. Am I missing something? They weren’t even matching Carmax using my money. Carmax is only 2 blocks away and I was forced to sell it to them directly forfeiting the $1,687.50 in sales tax savings. Had they been honest about the situation, they would have told me 3 weeks prior to the arrival of the car when I asked if they would match offer. I had waited on car for over 2 months and had to pay a $5,000 deposit (because of the shortage of vehicles) to hold the car they already knew was being delivered to their dealership. Don’t know how you would feel but I was short $1,687.50 out of the deal when I could have spent the last 3 weeks waiting on new car at least trying to sell my old one for more rather than being forced to sell the car for less because my new car had arrived at their dealership and I now needed to complete sale. On top of that, I was treated like I was ignorant while the manager explained to me how he was sorry I misunderstood the offer. In my opinion, I was intentionally mislead so I would not have other options when my new car arrived either because they couldn’t match the offer or flat just were greedy. If you don’t think so and you think I misunderstood, this is the dealership for you! Just remember this, if I was not going to receive the sales tax savings, why would I need South Point to match the offer? Like I said, Carmax was 2 blocks away and they did exactly what they said they would with NO added hassles.

Sam E was great to work with. I was looking for a specific vehicle and he had it on his lot; he sent pics and we planned a time that day. We discuss financing option via text as well. Upon arrival he sent me immediately out to test drive, and he got my car back for trade-in appraisal. Even though we had done alot up front, we still had a hard negotiation over #'s and he stuck with me and had a great attitude. It was a 4 hour process (arrival to departure)...it was a Saturday (super busy day for them). Sam got to know me personally and shared about himself, that's the name of the game in sales...he made sure I left with a hot coffee and bottled waters and even offered an early plate for dinner! FINANCE was my favorite, Sheldon was AWESOME to work with! I also got to know him personally, and we shared lots of laughs! This guy was PHENOMINAL! As for Management I worked with Mike Ortiz...no BS with this guy ;-).

We drove 2 hours to go see 2 used cars next door at the Audi dealership. I’d been working with a salesman there and he had them ready for me when we got there. As we finally pulled up, someone else was pulling up in my car that I was pretty sure I was going to get. They had just finished test driving it and bought it. We were just 10 minutes too late. I was pretty upset so we walked next door to the Hyundai dealership and were immediately greeted by friendly, personable people. I told them I was in the market for a Palisade and Jay came up and showed them to us. He was extremely knowledgeable about them and taught me everything I needed to know without wasting any of our time. He was honest, caring, smart and efficient. We were given a better deal on the Palisade, but less on my trade. I started feeling unsure about it and decided to go home and think about it, and then the sales managers Mike and Sonny came in and made sure we were happy by offering me what the other dealerships were for my trade, making them the best deal. Not only did I get the best deal, but I felt taken care of, I felt like I was valued by being there. I’ve been to a lot of dealerships searching for the right car and the right deal, but it’s about more than that. There are so many yucky salesmen out there that only care about making a sale and you know they are just saying what they need to say to try to make the sale, including lying to get it. I finally found a place where I didn’t get that yucky feeling from them. We have a Hyundai dealership 5 minutes down the road from where I live, and I’ve been there many times while shopping for my car. I can say with full confidence that this location is well worth the 2 hour drive, and then some, for the way they treat their customers. Thank you Jay, Mike, and Sonny, for making my dream car purchase finally come true!!!

Awesome experience at South Point Hyundai! We had a tough time locating the car we wanted in our local area. We found one online at South Point Hyundai in Austin and we decided to drive 6 hours to check it out. We loved the service we received upon arriving! We were greeted by friendly staff and the internet manager was very helpful and knowledgeable. Our interaction and experience with the finance manager was top tier. He broke everything down for us and explained in detail since this was a first time buyer experience for my son. Overall 10/10 service and would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Once I got my car home from the lot, I was showing my partner the features of the car and we both noticed the front camera was cracked to the point of affecting visibility for the front view. I went back the next day and let the staff know of the issue. They told me the warranty might not cover it because I had already taken the car home, and it could have happened on the ride home. Sure, that's reasonable, but I have since called multiple times, stopped by multiple times (each time told that Chris in service was not available) to see if I can get it fixed, regardless if I have to pay for it or not. Nobody has ever returned my calls or emails. Even Eddie Gomez, the Customer Relations Manager, has not returned my calls or emails. So, Eddie, why did you reach out with a generic email asking how my customer service was if you never intended to actually provide me with any customer service? So, as much as I love my car, and I'm happy I got it, I am still driving around with a busted front camera and nobody at Hyundai has responded to me.

I can't even tell you how amazing my experience with Timmy Wiles was. He called me at 9am, based on my request for a vehicle they had, by noon my new car was in my drive way. We did everything over the phone and signed papers when Timmy personally delivered the car to my house. He explained everything to me (the finance guy Sheldon also explained the warranty, gap insurance, and other perks when he called me to go over the finance options) Timmy showed me how the new features work and set me up with Bluelink. Again I can't even explain how easy the process was. I love the new car and am so greatful for the wondeful experience.

My car is part of a Clas Action Lawsuit and is being recalled. I called in November when I got the notice and the earlies I could bring it in was week of Jan 13th. WHen I brought it - considering it took 2 months to get an appointment - they would have a loner car as my car is being recalled and serviced. They have my car - not communication or indication when I would get my car back. I have NO loner car and did not provide me with a rental car. THey were NOT apologetic or even understanding of why I was a bit frustrated that i was left with NO CAR. They were very vague on giving answers - I mostly hear 'i dont know' - or - 'I can't. I am not satisfied with how this process has gone. IF they know about the recall in Nov - THere would have been contingencies in place and a protocol to follow.

My car is part of a Clas Action Lawsuit and is being recalled. I called in November when I got the notice and the earlies I could bring it in was week of Jan 13th. WHen I brought it - considering it took 2 months to get an appointment - they would have a loner car as my car is being recalled and serviced. They have my car - not communication or indication when I would get my car back. I have NO loner car and did not provide me with a rental car. THey were NOT apologetic or even understanding of why I was a bit frustrated that i was left with NO CAR. They were very vague on giving answers - I mostly hear 'i dont know' - or - 'I can't. I am not satisfied with how this process has gone. IF they know about the recall in Nov - THere would have been contingencies in place and a protocol to follow.

This is not a complaint. I didn’t know that you could no longer get there early and drop off your car for service. Appointments are NOW required. The next available appointment wasn’t for another 6-7 weeks. I am assuming this is just another issue since COVID and what the customer is now have to be faced with, again sure this is a new requirement that the dealership has to initiate. I had always just got there and willing to wait for car to be serviced. This is too bad on the drop offs and glad that my situation was just a maintenance service, not an urgent need of a broken down vehicle on the road that would have to wait weeks to get their car fixed. Again, I understand the need for this new requirement but the fact that I will now need to find another facility for my car needs that doesn’t require 7+ weeks in advance to get the car in for service.

Awesome experience at South Point Hyundai! We had a tough time locating the car we wanted in our local area. We found one online at South Point Hyundai in Austin and we decided to drive 6 hours to check it out. We loved the service we received upon arriving! We were greeted by friendly staff and the internet manager was very helpful and knowledgeable. Our interaction and experience with the finance manager was top tier. He broke everything down for us and explained in detail since this was a first time buyer experience for my son. Overall 10/10 service and would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Most the sales people at South Point are good. Multiple sales people approached the wife and I, talked and cut up with us. This made us feel much more comfortable. When we first arrived we dealt with Tyler who did not care to work the deal. He assumed that we would just sign the paperwork and pay what they said. We did not. They do have a $5,000 mark up on the Ioniq 5 which is negotiable if you are diligent. I will say some of their tactics are old school and if you are not well versed they will have you paying over fair market price. Also, look at the dealer add-ons since they are inflated and negotiable. Overall the Sales Manger and Finance Manager I dealt with were ready to help as long as I asked the right questions.

Although my 2022 (brand new) was repaired the manager Steve was unsympathetic to my disappointment with the service crew. The person who picked up my car smoked in it. He also programmed several radio stations on my radio, had every window open including the sunroof, had the a/c all the way up, as well as the radio volume. I now open my door to smoke rather than a New Car Smell. Noone has reached out to me. This is very disrespectful and unacceptable! Stay away from South Point

Like I mentioned in my last "additional comments", Gopal was very professional and friendly. He has no rush in closing the deal, talking about the car, or taking time during the test drive. I really appreciate that... it helped us feel comfortable and not rushed. He was friendly and personable, honest and helpful. Would definitely recommend him as a sales staff. Same goes for Matthew, who helped us during the post-purchase experience.

This was the single worst customer experience I have ever...
This was the single worst customer experience I have ever had. The Service Advisor and on-site Genesis Concierge had a communication failure so the items to be handled during my appointment were not accounted for by the advisor and her attitude was horrible. Pro tip: never throw your colleagues under the bus in front of a customer. We’re not there to take sides and really don’t care about how busy you are. The worst part though was that the mechanic failed to properly secure the Under Cover to my vehicle and it detached as I was on the highway on my way home from the dealership. This caused a major safety hazard and shows that this dealership does not have the best and brightest working for them, nor do they check their work to assure a vehicle is safe to drive after service. They also failed to top off all fluids despite signing off on doing so. I have no confidence in South Point Hyundai and will never do business with them again. I will never buy a part from them and they will certainly never touch a vehicle I own again. I was planning on buying a G70 in the fall and this experience and the way the ABS recall has been handled will definitely take the G70 out of consideration. I have communicated my experience with this dealership to Genesis USA and they recommended another dealership in the area to fix the mistakes of South Point Hyundai.

This place is very unprofessional and I will never go back there again. I was a loyal customer for two years but during my last visit they dropped the ball big time. The front bumper of my car was slightly damaged. I decided to bring my car to Hyundai dealership to have it fixed ! IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!!!! I was given a quote at the beginning and then another quote when I wanted to pay. Just to fix the same -one- problem that my car had. Why can’t you be exact In your pricing fromThe get go??? The second issue was When I was called to pick up my car. I was shocked and I realized that this place does not have a quality control check. The color of the new bumper was not matching with the rest of the car. Two different colors in one car !!! When I pointed out to that big issue they were like we have to send it to a third-party which required an additional three more days without having a car. Just think twice before dropping your car for service at this place !!!

This is a review of the service department only! I purchased a brand new 2023 Tucson SE in 10/20/2022. The sales experience was excellent! There is small issue with one of the features that was and is not working properly. Basically the setting for the horn to indicate when the lock button is activated does not work even though it is enabled. I met the salesman at the service department to see if it was a quick fix with their scan tool and it could not be done and service said I need to bring it back for an appointment. I called back to service to schedule and they told me that they could not look at until some time in Jan 2023! Then they said I have to drop it off 8 days before the day they will look at it and if I didn’t they will not look on the day that is scheduled! Since this repair doesn’t qualify as something that a loaner can be given to during the service I would not be able get on even if they had any to give. What?!? I know this is a small issue, however I spent hard earned money 2 weeks ago for a vehicle that should be 100%! Since it’s not there should be some priority given as a new customer. Totally ridiculous! I called another dealer and their service department had never heard of this type of nonsense. I scheduled with them for the 23rd of Nov and it doesn’t have to sit for 8 days before it can be looked at!
