My experience buying my Hyundai Santa Fe was the best from any dealership I have ever been to visit. I did not have to settle for things not wanted. Sam was excellent and very patient with me and my mini daschund. And Jerrod came to let me know everything would be ok but takes time. Service manager that say was also not trying to push me into getting a vehicle I would be unhappy with having. The financial guy was equally as helpful and put me at ease Even the lady who took my money was terrific in taking care of me. Everyone made feel like I was home as did the car.just give everyone a 20 for that day.

Carlos brought out the car for us to inspect/test drive. We signed papers and were out the door. I was very impressed to be in and out of a dealership in just roughly under 2.5 hours. Quick and easy!

Went in to test drive Kona. Had already negotiated with another dealership on price but hadn't actually driven the vehicle yet. Met up with Mike and Sheldon and drove the Kona. Loved it! Mike and Sheldon were so on top of it, I thought a little negotiating couldn't hurt. I ended up with a deal that beat the other one so I bought it. Financing was a breeze and I was in and out in less than 2 hours with some of that time being me trying to decide between the Kona and a Honda I was interested in. Everyone is friendly and helpful at South Point. It was the smoothest, quickest, and easiest vehicle purchase I have ever made! Mike did the negotiations and was excellent at explaining pricing, payments, and what what exactly the numbers were. I never felt pressured. While Mike worked on the numbers, Sheldon explained the car and I had lots of questions. They were both quite knowledgeable of their product. Financing was very quick and I don't have perfect credit but still got got a quite doable deal. The service doesn't stop once you sign the dotted line. I have since had a lot of questions and Mike has always been available to answer any questions and is always a joy to talk to. Sheldon took the time to explain all the manuals in easy to understand terms. I met Sonny just standing outside. He was open, friendly, and very helpful while we discussed some extras I wanted to get installed. I have purchased a lot of vehicles in my life and this was by far the easiest, smoothest and most enjoyable! .

Lease quote was too high

I was interested in getting a lease for a G70. I spent the prior month studying how to calculate lease payments and even built my own spreadsheet to help do the math quickly (i.e. in a dealership). I verified my spreadsheet by using actual lease deals in Texas found on the internet. I did all this research because I know dealers will take advantage of the complicated lease payment math to benefit themselves. Sure enough...the lease payment they offered to me was extremely high for the price of the car they were quoting me. Fortunately, I didn't fall for their trap and I walked away from the deal. BTW...This happened at each of the three dealers I tried to get a lease payment quote from so make sure you do your homework before negotiating any lease with any dealer.

If it were just for him I’d give 5 stars easily, however the finance department worker Riley Stevens made my experience just as bad as Michael made it great. Was rude and condescending toward me and my wife the most of the time we had to deal with him.

With COVID19 controlling most of the businesses here in Austin, it is not unusual to see companies running short handed, I normally see 6 to 10 service agents checking in customers in the early shift (07:00-09:00). Thursday it was only Patricia and yet she managed to handle everyone with a positive and professional manner. I waited as my Tucson had it's 9,000 mile service and Texas inspection and it took less than an hour. Thank you Patricia.

Great dealership. Mike Ortiz was great, helped me find exactly what I was looking for for exactly the price I was looking for. Definitely ask for him if you’re going to South Point. If it were just for him I’d give 5 stars easily, however the finance department worker Riley Stevens made my experience just as bad as Michael made it great. Was rude and condescending toward me and my wife the most of the time we had to deal with him.

I had gone to downtown Austin to buy a Ford Edge at the Ford dealership next-door. They lied on their website and they were shady, so I left. As I was driving away I saw the Honda dealership and decided to stop in. I was greeted by Sheldon and treated so well. I told him what I wanted. He was honest and told me he didn’t know if he could do it but that he was going to try his hardest. Well guess what? I got the car I wanted. He went to bat for me and I am so grateful. I bought two cars here. One car has something wrong with the paint, there are discolored spots and the paint is so thin/soft that you can scratch it off with a fingernail... The service team said this was "road debris", that I should wax my car and that there's nothing wrong with it. I will not return to this dealership for service or sales after this experience. Sheldon is the only person at this dealership that I am willing to do business with again, it is quite unfortunate that he works here.

My experience buying my Hyundai Santa Fe was the best from any dealership I have ever been to visit. I did not have to settle for things not wanted. Sam was excellent and very patient with me and my mini daschund. And Jerrod came to let me know everything would be ok but takes time. Service manager that say was also not trying to push me into getting a vehicle I would be unhappy with having. Buying wasn't bad, bu that was it

I bought a used 2017 Genesis G90 in mid-January. The buying process was pretty good. However, the window washer system started not working about 2 weeks after I bought it. It would not dispense window washer fluid. I did not try to fix it myself. I tried to get a hold of the guy who sold the car to me, Carter, three times to see if I could get the issue looked at but never heard back. The third time I tried to get in contact with him was when I picked up my plates. I brought up the issue and he said he would help schedule an appointment for service. While Carter was wonderful to work with in terms of buying the car, there was no follow up or follow through in regards to my concern. After not hearing from Carter, I looked online to find a number for the service department. The first time I called was during business hours but no one answered or followed up when I left the voicemail requesting a call back. I finally was able to get the service scheduled the second time I called after months of dealing with this issue. I scheduled the service with them thinking it should be a easy fix. Nope. Even though I scheduled a service (on a Friday) they couldn't even look at the car until 3 days later (Monday). As the Genesis is supposed to bve their luxury brand, I was hoping to receive luxury brand level customer service such as receiving a loaner car of the same par as the Genesis. The only loaner car they could give me was a Hynudai. When you go to a luxury brand dealership they give you a luxury brand loaner. Today when I spoke with Patricia about the status of my car, they said that the washer fluid was clogged and that it was my fault and not covered by the warranty even though they're are the ones who put the fluid in there to begin with and sold it to me in that condition. I completely understand why something like this would not normally be covered under warranty however, when I brought up the fact that I had done nothing to the window washer fluid since buying it, Patricia's tone quickly changed to one of annoyance and she cut me off saying she would get with her warranty advisor and get back to me. It is extremely frustrating to have to chase down a business to get the car you just bought to be looked at and then dismissed that the issues are your fault. I hope their are records of how many times I have tried to reach out and small issue addressed. While the car itself is wonderful, their customer service isn't on par with what you'd expect from a luxury brand nor is it what you should receive if you were buying a non-luxury vehicle. They also reinforce the stereotype that dealerships are terrible to work with for getting your car serviced. If you are looking for luxury, look somewhere else.

Hyundai Salesman Goes the Extra Mile and Then Some!!!!

Buying a car is one of my least favorite things to do - right up there with dental work or dealing with lawyers. Most car dealerships are all about them! Sure they make it seem like they really care about you, the buyer, but their actions often show otherwise. My experience with South Point Hyundai was a rare exception! I attribute this both to the dealership and especially the salesperson I worked with - Timmy Wiles. So I was in the process of moving from San Diego to Austin. I needed a new SUV, and I wanted to take advantage of all these Covid deals. However, I didn't want to buy one from a dealer in San Diego and then have to drive it to Austin. So I needed to find a dealership in Austin who would work with me - remotely. This required a little creativity and a lot of willingness. I messaged a handful of dealerships in Austin one night, and to my surprise when I woke up the next day, I got a text from Timmy Wiles at South Point Hyundai (bright and early). Timmy was on point. He listened to my needs, hustled to find the Santa Fe we wanted, and then worked with us to make a great deal. He really went the extra mile to get us the incredible financing offer of no payments for 120 days, zero money down, and 0% interest. He got his finance team to overnight me all the paperwork, so I could work this deal remotely. Timmy even went the extra mile to refer me to local car insurance resources. I'm a tough and demanding buyer. I expect a lot for my business. South Point Hyundai and their super star, customer-conscious salesperson Timmy Wiles really earned my business and respect. One last thing I wanted to mention. We flew to Austin on a Sunday to start out new life. We had hoped to pick up our new Santa Fe upon arrival. However, the dealership was closed on Sundays. But our sales guy Timmy offered to pick us up at the airport in our new SUV. Who does something that kind these days? I can't say enough about the dealership and Timmy Wiles. If you're in the market for a new or used vehicle, give some strong consideration to South Point Hyundai, and ask for Timmy Wiles as your salesperson. In my experience, you can't go wrong!

DISHONEST!

This is my first Hyundai purchase. The salesman on the floor was a nice enough guy, however, I was not made clear on our price agreement before heading to finance. Our verbal agreement before heading to finance was $16800 for the car and $1800 for my trade in. The net amount after fees was supposed to be $16,661.16. This was then handwritten on a piece of paper, with a line drawn with an "X" to sign off on. Then before we started to the finance department, I was told there were some other small fees that he forgot but they would not amount to more than $100 difference. I did not get a revised quote from the sales department. I was expecting to go over that in the finance department for clarification. I waited for over an hour to speak with anyone in finance. The finance manager, Sheldon Hoffman started by telling me the cost of the vehicle was going to be $16,751.00. I told him that was more than I was expecting and didnt understand the math. Sheldon called the Sales department and asked my salesman to come down for clarification. Even Sheldon was confused about what the correct price was. However, I found the paperwork in Sheldon's stack that had the $16,661.00 amount and I assumed the $16,751.00 included the $100 difference that was mentioned earlier. The issue is that I understood the price of $16,751.00 to be the price of the vehicle BEFORE my trade in. When Sheldon made the call to the Sales Department, he DID NOT tell me the price of the car was actually $17,200. I heard him asking, "well, which is it? Which price is it?" He just showed me the bottom line on the invoice for the net amount. Never, ever, ever, was the full price of the car disclosed to me verbally or explained. He should have shown me the correct price and how the calculation had changed. In the midst of signing multiple forms, I was also absolutely hammered with the warranty sales pitch. It was very distracting and made me uncomfortable. Moreover, the entire process took almost 8 hours. I was desperate to get out of there. The next morning, I reviewed the paperwork and saw the price I was actually charged was $539.00 more that the what I agreed to with the salesperson. After the grueling finance session, I went to take the car home, only to find it was still dirty, both inside and out. They took it back to the detail department. The interior cleaning was still not acceptable. The exterior was not done at all because it was raining. I was told I could come back to get that done. I will have to do my own cleaning now as well. I am very uncomfortable with this dealership handling maintenance and repairs in the future. I simply DO NOT TRUST THEM

South Point Hyundai is where my family and I have been buying all of our cars (used and new) for several years. They are very competent, professional, prompt and courteous. Even more importantly, they get you the best deal but make sure you try all options...sometimes you may need advice and they give honest feedback and advice, based on your needs. My experience was not so pleasant. I had a scheduled appointment for a recall service but I had to wait for about 20 minutes for someone to assist me. When I came back to pick up my vehicle they were much more helpful and friendlier but my car was unlocked and had been ransacked. I spoke with the manager but he blamed it on homeless people. I didn't make a big scene about it because I noticed a big sign that says we are not responsible for your personal items but at the same time if I'm trusting you with my property you and your employees should be held responsible. Needless to say I won't be using South Hyundai anymore because they hire thieves and cover and make excuses for them.
